John Dewhirst

John ("El Grande") DJs at Tango ViTA milongas and special events.

 

He has volunteered for the past two years to coordinate the DJ's schedule for all Tango ViTA milongas.

 

His favourite orchestras are D'Arienzo, Calo, Fresedo, de Angelis, Firpo, and others from the 1930s-1950s.

 

Inspired by a visit to Buenos Aires in 2003, El Grande attempts to recreate the spirit of the traditional milongas in the tango capital of the world.

Tango Vita hosts two dancing opportunities every week:

 Wednesday Milonga is suspended until Sept. 2012, and
 
every Saturday.
 
Both are preceded by tango classes.
